Rev C.J. McCary - Assistant Pastor

C. J. McCary was born in Vine Hill, Alabama, on March 23, 1957. He graduated form Autauga County High School in 1974, and obtained a Bachelor Degree in Clinical Psychology and Research Design in 1980 from Knoxville College in Knoxville, TN.
Rev. McCary entered the Ph.D program in Clinical Psychology at North Texas State University in 1980, and was called into the Ministry of the Lord in 1981. With a strong desire to pursue his calling, he exited the Psychology program at the Master's Level in 1982. Rev. McCary became a licensed counselor/therapist, and obtained a Masters in Social Work, specializing in Direct Practice, from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has enjoyed a 24 year career in public service as a social worker for the State of Texas Child Welfare System. Over his career, he held positions from caseworker to his current position as a Regional Director. Rev. McCary established McCary Counseling Services (Christian Counseling) in 1992, specializing in Chemical Dependency Treatment, Anger Management, Life Skills and Relationship Development.
Licensed as a Minister (COGIC) in 1982, Rev. McCary received his Certificate of Appointment to St. Andrews, COGIC in 1983, where he served as Youth Pastor, President of Campus Ministry (TWU & NTSU), Jail Ministry, and Hospital Ministry over his 15 year tenure.
Rev. McCary?s passions are his beautiful wife Camillia of 25 years and his 4 lovely daughters, Jade Nicole, Courtney Taylor, Jacqueline Lenora, and Camillia Rose, and his granddaughter, Ava Camile. His call: he has been chosen to carry the message of God to His people. Rev. McCary enjoys reading, fishing, golfing and most sports.
